- Allen Meadows - its beautifully layered array of citrus, white flowers, pear, soft wood and subtle spice nuances. The sleek and sophisticated medium-bodied flavors possess ample minerality and excellent vibrancy along with impressive depth on the focused finale that really fans out as it sits on the palate. This is a more modestly-scaled Montrachet of finesse and refinement rather than power and muscle. For my taste it is just now knocking on the front door of its prime maturity though I underscore that it could easily be held for years to come. In sum, this is an understated Montrachet of class and grace.
