- Allen Meadows - A pure, elegant and ultra-fresh nose offers up notes of white flower, lemon zest, wet stone and an herbal tea hint, all of which is trimmed in enough wood to notice. There is an equally evident stony character to the beautifully detailed and highly energetic middle weight plus flavors that possess superb depth on the gorgeously textured, focused and still firm finish. This is evolving notably more slowly than the typical 2011 today as it remains quite tightly wound and for my taste, I would allow it at least another 3 to 5 years first. In a word, impressive.
