- Allen Meadows - The nose makes clear that this '15 Clos de la Roche remains a very young wine as there is virtually no secondary character to the sauvage-suffused nose offering up an array of various dark berries, leather, earth, floral and soft underbrush scents. The energetic and beautifully well-detailed medium weight flavors exude a subtle minerality on the suave yet muscular finish that exhibits focused power and excellent persistence. This still very firm and compact effort is indisputably very much still on the way up and a wine that's going to require another 8 to 10 years before it will reach its peak. Impressive.
