- Allen Meadows - As is often the case with the Boillot whites even with age, there is a very mild hint of reduction that isn't enough to suppress the maturing nose of nice pure floral, citrus rind, stone and soft spice notes trimmed in just a hint of wood. There is plenty of volume to the rich, intense and mouth coating middle weight flavors that exude evident minerality on the gorgeously complex, wonderfully persistent and markedly dry but not really austere finish. This classy effort is impressive and while it certainly should continue to age, for my taste it has largely arrived at its peak. Excellent.
